Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ready to Support JIFBW 2025
JEPARA - Jepara International Furniture Buyer Weeks (JIFBW) 2025, received support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The support is in the form of strengthening and expanding event promotion to hundreds of representatives abroad, dozens of Trade Attachés, ITPC, and millions of Indonesian Diaspora abroad.
To check the preparation of facilities and infrastructure for this furniture exhibition, Secretary of the Directorate General of Asia Pacific and Africa, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Trisari Dyah Paramita and her entourage directly reviewed the prospective exhibition venues at GBK Stadium and a number of furniture centers in Jepara, Thursday (11/14/2024).
The group was previously received by the Acting Regent of Jepara Edy Supriyanta accompanied by Assistant II of the Regional Secretary Hery Yulianto, Head of Bappeda Hasanudin Hermawan, leaders of other regional apparatuses and representatives of the Jepara Gerak Consortium at the Peringgitan Pendapa RA. Edy Supriyanta felt proud and flattered that his wish for JIFBW to receive support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had come true. "With this support, I am optimistic that the market penetration of Jepara's superior products abroad will be even wider, especially in the Asia Pacific and Africa regions," said Edy Supriyanta.
He is also sure that the visit to see the readiness of the facilities and infrastructure as well as the furniture production units will produce instructions for the committee to be able to prepare JIFBW 2025 even better.
"I assure you, we will carry out the instructions well. All of that is needed to formulate an effective promotional strategy in order to attract buyers and visitors from Asia Pacific and Africa," he continued.
Edy Supriyanta explained that amidst the various dynamics of the international market, as of August 2024, there were 154 Jepara exporters who could export wooden furniture to 55 countries. The value is 15.5 million US dollars. At the same time, 30 Jepara exporters managed to export wooden handicrafts to 25 countries with a value of 610 thousand US dollars.
"Meanwhile, for processed wood products and other wood products, there are 17 exporters marketing their products to 16 countries. The value is almost 820 thousand US dollars," he explained.
Meanwhile, Secretary of the Directorate General of Asia Pacific and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Trisari Dyah Paramita said that she had seen firsthand the production process to the packing of Jepara furniture products on her first visit to Jepara. She expressed her commitment to helping promote Jepara furniture and furniture products.
"We are committed to supporting Jepara's furniture export market to become wider," she said.
