Jepara is now PPKM Level 2, the Economic Sector will be relaxed
JEPARA - Jepara Regency, Central Java, experienced a downgrade from level 3 to PPKM Level 2, following a decrease in the number of Covid-19 cases in the local area.
"This shows that efforts to prevent and handle Covid-19 in Jepara Regency have yielded good results. However, the public must remain vigilant and obey health protocols," said Jepara Regent Dian Kristiandi in Jepara, Tuesday (24/8/2021).
He expressed certainty that Jepara would apply level 2 after the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs regarding PPKM Java-Bali which stipulates Jepara to enter level 2.
Regarding the success of Jepara to go down to level 2 PPKM Java Bali, he said, thanks to the hard work of all elements of society.
"We thank all residents. Also to Forkopimda, the ranks of the 0719/Jepara Kodim, the Jepara Police, and also the health workers," he said.
Nevertheless, he said, his party invites all residents to continue to implement health protocols, starting from wearing masks, washing hands with soap, maintaining distance, and avoiding crowds.
"Don't be complacent and assume that this pandemic is over. Don't let the community level down after the level drops, considering the fact that the virus is still around us," he said.
Regarding the concessions that will be made, Dian admits that they will immediately conduct an evaluation. Because at this time, there is only a leniency for face-to-face learning (PTM) which is accompanied by student vaccinations. The Jepara Regency Government will also make easing, including the tourism sector.
