The 2019 Indonesian Creative Works (KKI) Exhibition
Bank Indonesia (BI) again held the 2019 Indonesian Creative Works (KKI) exhibition for the fourth time on Friday-Sunday, July 12-14 2019 at Exhibition Hall A, Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). The exhibition themed "Encouraging Economic Growth through Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Go Export and Go Digital" will present a complete collection of traditional batik, weaving, ulos, songket, and derivative products, traditional jewelery and handicrafts as well as processed food products from MSME BI's leading candidates are spread throughout the archipelago. Visitors can also enjoy Indonesian archipelago and superior coffee culinary offerings.
As a manifestation of a real contribution in encouraging national economic growth, Bank Indonesia (BI) accelerates efforts to create new economic activities through the development of regional superior products to support Indonesia's Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) towards the international market and utilize digital platforms (marketplace).
Different from the previous year, KKI 2019 facilitated business matching between MSMEs and financial institutions, marketplaces, and importers / aggregators. In addition, a cloth parade between archipelago premium products built by Bank Indonesia was held which collaborated with well-known national designers. Through talk shows, workshops, and business coaching, visitors can also obtain information about procedures, programs, facilities, and tips for MSMEs to penetrate international markets and utilize digital platforms in marketing MSME products.
KKI 2019 provides opportunities for MSMEs to promote their products more broadly, while at the same time motivating them to continue to create high-quality and high-value products.
Executive Director of the Bank Indonesia Communication Department Onny Widjanarko explained that the exhibition was a step to accelerate efforts to create new economic activities through the development of regional superior products.
He said the exhibition took the theme 'Encouraging Economic Growth through UMKM Go Export and Go Digital' which will present a complete collection of traditional batik, weaving, ulos, songket, and derivative products, traditional jewelery and handicrafts as well as processed food products from BI's leading UMKM spread throughout the archipelago.
Onny added that the exhibition this time was different from the previous year, because KKI 2019 would facilitate business matching between MSMEs and financial institutions, marketplaces, and importers / aggregators.
